Kirsten began her coaching journey 12 years ago as a parent-coach, in support of her daughter. She has completed UKA Level 1 and Level 2 coaching qualifications and has coached athletes from beginners to those on the EA Youth Talent Pathway. Her experience includes working with Reigate Priory Athletics Club, Crawley Athletics Club, and a local school, where she has helped young athletes develop their skills and confidence. Kirsten is committed to creating a positive, supportive environment for every athlete to reach their full potential

Steve Bode – Steve is a respected coach in the East of England having shaped the throwing success of many young throwers. His enthusiasm and love of the event is immediately obvious to any onlookers whilst making it fun and informative to the throwers. His work with City of Norwich and Great Yarmouth throwers has produced a good number of national level athletes due to his keen eye that spots talent. Great Britain international and one of the leading UK seniors , Daniel Bainbridge, is one such beneficiary. Steve was one of our team in 2024.

Joe, a former Irish international long and triple jumper, is an experienced England Athletics performance coach specialising in horizontal jumps. Based at Notts AC, he coaches athletes from across the East Midlands and South Yorkshire in the long and triple jumps, sprints and combined events.

He has coached a number of athletes who have won school and age group titles in England, Scotland, Wales, and previously in Ireland and Northern Ireland, before moving to Derbyshire. Several jumpers under his guidance have also gone on to compete internationally as well.

Joe is set to lead workshops on plyometrics and multi-jumps at the forthcoming East Midlands Master Class event
